The EmpowerHer Back to Work Initiative Program aims to support disadvantaged women — particularly single mothers, immigrant women, newcomers, and women who are victims of violence—who face significant barriers to re-entering the workforce.

This initiative seeks to remove obstacles to career advancement and promote economic empowerment, helping women regain confidence and fully participate in the job market. Together, we strive to help women overcome obstacles and achieve lasting success in their careers.

Our program is designed to facilitate women’s smooth reintegration into the workforce. By offering skills training, confidence-building workshops, and mentorship opportunities, Our educational workshops covering everything from tailoring resumés, to interviewing, and exploring mentorship opportunities provides huge help; our wellness workshops supports with the anxiety and depression that arises due to the challenges of returning back to work every workshop tailoring resumés, to resume writing, outstanding cover letters, effective job search tips,and interview preparation supports clients in career advancement journey and empowers women to reclaim their careers and achieve lasting professional success.

Program Overview:

  1. Remove Barriers: Identify and address the specific barriers faced by immigrant women, newcomers, single mothers and women who are victims of abuse in re-entering the workforce.
  2. Skill Development: Equip participants with essential job skills, including résumé writing, interview preparation, and networking.
  3. Mental Health Support: Provide resources to manage anxiety and depression related to job searching and workplace reintegration.

  2. Orientation Session:

    • Duration: 2 hours

  3. Skill Development Workshops:

    • Duration: Weekly sessions for 6 weeks

    • Topics:

      • Résumé Writing & Tailoring: How to create a strong résumé tailored to specific job opportunities.

      • Interview Preparation: Techniques for successful interviews, including mock interviews.

      • Networking Strategies: Building a professional network and utilizing platforms like LinkedIn.

      • Dressing for Success: Guidance on professional attire that instills confidence.

  1. Wellness Workshops: 4 Weeks Duration 

    • Duration: Weekly sessions

    • Topics:

      • Mental Health Management: Strategies to cope with anxiety and depression.

      • Mindfulness and Stress Relief: Techniques to manage stress and build resilience.

      • Work-Life Balance: Tools for setting boundaries and managing family responsibilities alongside career goals.

  2. Mentorship Program: 2 Weeks Duration

    • Duration: Ongoing

    • Structure: Pair participants with mentors from relevant industries. Monthly check-ins to discuss progress, challenges, and strategies.

  3. Job Retention Support:

    • Duration: 12 months post-employment

    • Content:

      • Monthly workshops on professional development (e.g., negotiation skills, leadership training).

      • Networking events to connect with industry professionals.

      • Access to resources for ongoing skill enhancement.

    • Month 1: Recruitment of participants and mentors-Program development and partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and mental health professionals.

    • Month 2: Conduct orientation and first round of skill development and wellness workshops.

    • Month 3: 2nd Round, skills development (Résumé Writing & Tailoring, Interview Preparation,Networking Strategies,Dressing for Success)

    • Months 4-5: Wellness Workshop (Exploring challenges with reentering the workforce)

    • Month 6: Begin mentorship program and networking events.

    • Months 7-12: Ongoing workshops, job retention support, and evaluation of participant progress. Go-Live Certificate of completion.

  1. Participant Feedback: Surveys after each session to assess satisfaction and areas for improvement.

  2. Job Placement Rates: Track the percentage of participants who secure employment within six months of completing the program.

  3. Job Retention Rates: Monitor the retention of employed participants over the following year.

  4. Mental Health Improvement: Pre- and post-program surveys measuring anxiety and depression levels.

  5. Community Engagement: Measure the growth of networking connections and mentor relationships formed during the program.
